Fifth Blog Prompt
According to Hjortshoj, a predatory reader is a reader that reads from the top of the food chain. For example, you should be able to read as you always write. Stay on top of your reading texts and don't let your reasons become secondary reasons to the authors writing. Some predator reading strategies are understanding a particular thing and being able to know how to format it. Five categories of the writing process that Hjortshoj explains are pre-writing or planning, composing, revising or rewriting, editing or proofreading and release. It is acceptable to complete writing in one draft when you know what you want to say, the task is simple, and the stakes and standards for the product are low. The costs to the one draft and done model are the disadvantages of trying to finish
everything in one draft result from the loss of flexibility in the writing process, not from the method itself.
