Dear Senior,                    I would like to take the time to tell you about the differences and similarities between high school and college. First, I am going to tell you from personal experience than explain some of the details listed in The Transition to College Writing book. When I was in high school, I had awesome grades and amazing help from teachers. There were times when I depended on teachers to help get things done for me. I would always finish my homework in school, didn't have to worry about homework as much. It was easy for me to participate in three sports and different organizations around the school too. My counselor would always help make sure my scholarships went through and provided me with so much information. So basically, in high school, I could always depend on my teachers and counselors other than myself. Then, my first year of college came around. I wasn't all the same as high school. For example, classes w...

When I was a senior in high school, I had this small group of friends/sisters that I would always hang out with. One out of the three girls in the group was in a relationship. We usually are happy for each other when one gets into a relationship with someone, but the relationship my sister was in wasn't healthy at all. Ever since they started to hang close with each other, it seemed like I hardly was able to see or hang out with my sister anymore. It's like her relationship just took her away from me. She started getting distant and starting lying about everything. She made up stories about her mom and other personal things. Every time I tried to talk to her about it, she would blow me off or lie in front of her "girlfriend". So then all three of us had a meeting and she thought it was okay to bring her girlfriend to the meeting. The meeting wasn't for her girlfriend so I was confused as to why she thought that was okay. After that meeting, I was sad and disappoin...

After watching the film, it seems to me that everyone that got on the elevator has their own taste of music. So each and every one of them decided to play their own out loud so that they wouldn't have to hear other people's music. Towards the end of the video, the tall, black guy came in with what looked like a tape/cd radio player. Everyone turned off their music I'm guessing because they thought he was going to blast his music. But instead, he put in his headphones. Once everyone started smiling the elevator decided to finally play music that everyone could listen too. The girl, in the beginning, looked young enough to be a teenager, so she must like that hard rock music while the other old man liked Beethoven music. They chose that audience to show everyone's taste in music.

My top ten sings that I would want on my pandemic playlist would be: 1. Bundelele by Awilo Longomba, 2. We Own It by 2Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, 3. This Will Be The Day by Lady Bri, 4. So Saucy by Kemarhighcon, 5. Give Me Everything by Pitbull and NeYo, 6. Roar by Katy Perry, 7. You Make Me Feel by Sabi, 8. Glorious by Macklemore, 9. Blessings on Blessings by Anthony Brown, 10. Brown Skin Girls by Beyonce Knowles. Of course, these aren't all my songs that I would have on my list but it's most of them. I did forget to mention some of my old school hits. I love 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s R&B mix. The first song and fourth song I labeled would be my favorite African songs. Of course, since I'm half Nigerian, I love African music and afrobeat with a passion. It gets me hype and relaxed for the most part. Songs two, five, six, seven, and eight are my motivational songs when I'm working out or even just doing something productive. Songs like those keep me going and staying up. S...

I believe in the phrase you don't pass or fail at being a person. The things I would say that would make you a person is for one being human. Some people would also say just because you are human, doesn't make you a person. It's how you are truly inside and out. A person is a mental being/ self- conscious mental being. A person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. When another person disrespects and discourages another, that makes a person feel less of themselves just because they aren't like that person. People bully people to make themselves feel like they have power to do anything. Bullies want to be in charge and etc. It's like anyone can call out someone else but my question is, "What are you?" No one should have the right to disrespect anyone without looking at themselves first. You are who you were meant to be and that is yourself and no one else.

The triple moon is a Goddess symbol that represents the Maiden, Mother, and Crone.  The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the female principle, and the promise of new beginnings.  The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, fulfillment, stability, and power.  The Crone represents wisdom, repose, and compassion. Lettie, Ginnie, and Old Mrs. Hempstock all compare to the triple goddesses because Old Mrs. Hempstock is shown as being able to use abilities the others do not have the skill or power to perform. Ginnie, known as the mother figure is described as sensible, practical, firm and stout. Lettie, known as the Maiden.

When I was younger, my mom and dad got a divorce. Years later after their divorce, my dad would always bring another women and her kids around. I never really knew who they were or was comfortable being around them. So, I asked my dad who they were. He said, "This is your aunt and your cousins from Canada." I was shocked that it took him a minute to tell me that. Days and days went by and every time I would visit my dads place, they were always there. In my head, I was thinking why they didn't have their own place to stay. Until I remembered when I was younger we would always have family come stay with us but that was only when my mom and dad were together at the time. So for a long time, I believed that they were my cousins and aunt. Until one day, I heard something I wish I hadn't. I heard my sister and "cousins" talking about my dad and their mom. Seems to me that they all knew that my dad had a thing with their mom for a while now. But with me being the ...
